Try your hand at haymaking – the Icelandic way!
Before the advent of haymaking machinery, hay was made manually according to old Icelandic traditions.
This Sunday, the Árbær Open Air Museum will be giving you the chance to learn about these traditions and try your hand at it yourself.
Weather permitting, the Museum will be hosting this celebration of Icelandic haymaking on Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. Entrance is free for the under-18s, over-70s, and disabled.
Light refreshments will be available at Dillon’s Café.
