Burt Bacarach plays Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall
Legendary American singer-songwriter Burt Bacarach performed some of his greatest hits to a packed-out Harpa in Reykjavik yesterday evening.
The 88-year-old composer cut a cheerful, sprightly figure on stage as he performed some of his best-loved songs, including Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head, Alfie and That’s what friends are for.
The concert took place in Harpa’s main Eldborg concert hall, which can take up to 1,800 audience members at a time. Bacharach has eight Grammy awards, three Oscars and one Golden Globe.
