Every Easter thousands of Icelanders travel to Ísafjörður in the West Fjords of Iceland to enjoy and participate in the "Aldrei fór ég suður" (I never went south) festival.
This very popular music festival is the brainchild of Icelandic musician Mugison, held in his hometown of Ísafjörður since 2004.
The festival brings a surge of energy to the picturesque town of some 2,600 people nestled within the remote and rugged beauty of the West Fjords.
