West Fjords music festival starts next week

As every Easter week since 2004, next week will see the Aldrei fór ég suður rock festival grace the small picturesque West Fjords town of Ísafjörður.

The festival – now one of Iceland’s most popular music festivals – is the brainchild of Icelandic musician Mugison and will see its thirteenth outing on 24-26 March.

Confirmed artists at the event include Emiliana Torrini, Úlfur Úlfur and Glowie.

The festival is held in conjunction with ‘Ski Week’, a winter activity festival with various skiing and cultural events.
