Warning sirens tested tonight
Warning sirens in Grindavík and near the Blue Lagoon will be tested at 10 pm tonight.
The sirens will be started for a short time, or less than one minute.
“If there is a real-life danger, the sirens will continue to operate, well beyond the minute,” the Civil Protection Department states.
This week, the inflation in Svartsengi will probably reach the same height as it reached before the last eruption, according to the Icelandic Met Office.
