General Election: 19 thousand early voters

Election day is on Saturday October 29th and so far there are almost 19 thousand early voters in Iceland. This includes people who have voted at Icelandic embassies abroad.
This could be a close race as the latest poll published yesterday by Fréttablaðið shows that the Independence Party is back in the lead with 21.5 percent of voters compared to 23.7 last week.
The Pirate Party comes in at a close second with 20.3 percent of voters.
ws the Independence Party enjoying more support than any other in Iceland, or 25.1 percent. A similar poll conducted last week showed its following at 23.7 percent.
