Iceland’s President sends greetings to Estonia’s new President

President of Iceland Guðni Th. Jóhannesson sent today greetings on behalf of the Icelandic people to the newly elected president of Estonia.

Kersti Kaljulaid is the first woman to be elected President of Estonia and took office earlier this week.

“The President mentioned in his greeting message that Iceland and Estonia have long enjoyed good relations and cooperation,” reads a press release from the President’s Office.

“He also expressed his hope that he could be instrumental in strengthening relations between the two countries even further in the future.”
