Panama Papers protest: "A government betraying its people"
Anna Margrét Björnsson
Iceland Monitor spoke to some of the English-speaking protesters at Austurvöllur parliament square this afternoon to find out why they were attending.
One person attending declared that he had no other choice - the Prime Minister had become the most "famous Icelandic person in history overnight for all the wrong reasons". Others said it was "the fashion these days to have governments that betray their people."
"He needs to rebuild his reputation," said another.
