Pirates go down slightly in polls

According to a new poll by MMR on the support for Iceland's political parties, the Pirate party has gone down by 2 percent since the last poll and now garners 35.6 percent support. 

Support for the coalition government of the Progressive and Independence party is now 33.2 percent, which is 3.1 percent more than in the last poll. 

The Pirates have regularly topped opinion polls since April last year.

The Independence party scored 21.1 percent in the poll compared to 19.5 % in the last one and and the Progressive Party 12.2 percent compared to 10% in the last poll. 

Of the other parties currently represented in the Icelandic Parliament (‘Alþingi’), the Left-Green Movement scores 11%, the Social Democratic Alliance 9.4%, with the Bright Future Party on 4.4%.
