Very bad driving conditions today

There are slippery patches on most main roads in the capital area and it can be slippery on roads in residential areas. There is reason to urge people to be careful during morning traffic. Difficult driving conditions are on many roads outside the city but snow removal is underway according to the website of the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration, umferð.is.
Difficult driving conditions in many parts of the country
Heavy snowfall is on Kjósarskarð, but snow removal is underway. Krapi is on Hellisheiði, in Þrengsli and on Sandskeiði. Slippery patches are on most routes in Southwest Iceland, with snowfall and considerable snow, but snow removal is underway.
Snow cover is on most routes in southern Iceland and driving can be tricky due to the snow. Heavy snowfall is between Flúdir and Biskupstungnabraut. Snow removal is underway.
Snow cover, slippery roads and snow fall is on most routes in West Iceland. It is impossible to get to Skógarströnd and Heydalsvegur road and only very well equipped vehicles can make it to Skarðsströnd. Snow removal is underway.
In the North most roads are slippery and there is both snow cover and snow falling in Vatnsskarð, Vatnsnesvegur and Síðuvegur. Slippery conditions or snow cover is on most routes in North Iceland. Borgarvegur road is not accessible. Snow removal is underway.

There are slippery and snowy conditions on most routes in northeast Iceland, but there is some snow cover. The road to Dettifoss is impassable.
Heavy snowfall is between Djúpvegur and Bjarkalundur and there is heavy snow cover, snow and slippery conditions on many roads in the Westfjords. Dynjandisheiði heath is not passable. Snow removal is underway.
Slippery patches are on most routes in the East and Southeast Iceland, but there is some snow cover. The roads to Öxi and Breiðdalsheiði heath are impassable. Reindeers have been spotted in Álftafjörður, Hamarsfjörður, Berufjörður and nearby Jökulsárlón glacier lake.
