Sunshine for Iceland today!
The people of Reykjavik woke up to clear, sunny skies this morning and the sun shines on all parts of the country today with temperatures up to 25 degrees on Celsius.
Some fog is expected in the East Fjords.
Yesterday waas the warmest day in Iceland for the last five years, according to the Iceland Met Office. Temperatures will however be falling in the next few days due to an area of low pressure south of the island. "There is no need to despair however," writes the Iceland Met Office this morning ,"There's plenty of summer left and the temperatures will stay at between 15- 20 degrees on Celsius at least until next Monday."
