Everyone’s favourite online stream follows kittens living a doll house. A new family just moved in, and they are all ginger!

The new family in Keeping up with the Kattarshians dollhouse consists of mother Vanilla and her five kittens, Grettir, Nói, Trítill, Tópas and Nóa (the only female sibling). They are four weeks old today, according to Nútíminn [link in Icelandic].

The siblings are so young they still drink their mother’s milk. Over the next weeks viewers of Keeping up with the Kattarshians can see Vanilla teach her little kittens pretty much everything towards becoming independent cats.

As the kittens are very young, there have been some changes to the Kattarshian house. Only one floor is in use so they don’t hurt themselves on the stairs. This is not the first time the Kattarshian house is adjusted, last inhabitants had a teenage theme.

Vanilla came to Kattholt cat shelter when she was pregnant, and the kittens were born there. The project is a collaboration between The Icelandic Cat Protection Society (which runs Kattholt), The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority (MAST), vet of animal welfare and South Iceland Animal Welfare Surveillant. The aim is to promote adoption of stray cats.
