BBC, Independent and other media companies have recently been covering Iceland’s problem with the Northern Lights. The problem aren’t the Northern Lights themselves, but tourists who have a hard time keeping their eyes on the road due to Northern Lights in the sky while driving.

The police stopped the two cars recently in the Reykjarnes peninsula, suspecting the drivers for being intoxicated. The reason for the suspicion was the strange style of driving.

The answers the police got from both drivers was that they were watching the Northern Lights, rather than the road.

The police advised both drivers to park the vehicle in a safe place if they wanted to keep on gazing at the sky.
