Temperature records for June in Iceland
The first three weeks of June are among the warmest ever recorded for this period of time in Iceland.
The average temperature in Reykjavik was 11.2 degrees Centigrade compared to other records of 11.2 in 2014 and 11.4 in 2002. In 1941 the average temperature for June was 10.7 degrees.
The weather forecast for the weekend is mild but next week will see colder temperatures throughout Iceland.
