Multicultural day in Reykjavik today

Today is multicultural day in Reykjavik with a parade from Hallgrímskirkja church at 1 pm and music and dance performances at Harpa all afternoon. 

Representatives from the city's different cultural communities will unite in the parade flying the flags from their respective countries, and it's Mayor Dagur B.Eggertsson who will formally launch proceedings. 

The parade ends at Harpa concert hall and conference centre where you will find a market featuring all sorts of multicultural produce including design, food and clothing. The market, which is both inside the building and on the square outside finishes at 5 pm. 

Also, there will be music for everyone inside Harpa all afternoon with international and Icelandic artists performing.
