Murder-suicide tragedy in Akranes, Iceland

Two are dead in a murder-suicide in Akranes, South-West Iceland last night. A man shot and killed his wife and then committed suicide. 

Police broke into the apartment at noon today. There had been no reports of gunshots or loud noises last night. The man was in his sixties and the woman in her fifties. The matter is being investigated by police.
