A third of Icelanders use Netflix

A third of Icelandic homes subscribe to Netflix according to a new poll by MMR, or 33.2 percent. 

A majority, or 59.3 percent do not, however. A majority of homes with people aged 18-29 years old subscribe to Netflix and only 7.7 percent of homes with people aged 68 or older subscribe to Netflix. 

Higher income families are more likely to subscribe to Netflix. 

Two years ago, before Netflix was legally available in Iceland, only 16.7 percent of Icelandic homes subscribed.
