Heavy snow showers in Reykjavik today

This morning, heavy dark snow showers are expected in the capital area and people are warned that driving could get difficult and traffic heavy as a result.  Continuing snow showers are expected until tomorrow. 

This weekend temperatures will plunge in Reykjavik with frost up to -8 degrees C. 

According to the Iceland Met Office the snow is not going anywhere and that winter is here to stay.
