Slowly is a micro-travel agency and coffee shop in Stykkishólmur in West Iceland. It's owned by friends María Jónasdóttir, known as Mæsa, and Theódóra Matthíasdóttir, known as Theó.

Slowly is a lively, fun coffee shop focusing on sustainability, environmental friendliness and a very pink colour pallette.

"We call ourselves a personal micro-travel agency and try to focus on the slow-travel philosophy. We try to be conscious about the effects on the environment and our community from tourism," explains Mæsa. "We've been going on a lot of walking tours and picnic tours with people, mostly high-maintenance picnics. We like creating a lot of trouble," she says and laughs. They organise picnics in very unusual places. "We've organised picnics in Súgandisey island, down at the beach, or up a mountain, offering food that's all from Breiðafjörður."

Neither Mæsa or Theó originate from Stykkishólmur but got to know each other when they moved there. "That's when we discovered that our grandmothers were sisters and best friends. So we'd regularly met with each others grandmother but never each other. Our grandmothers had a great love of the outdoors and often went on picnics or camping trips. So this whole thing is sort of in their honour."
Stykkishólmur Slowly is located at Hafnargata 4, Stykkishólmur, Snæfellsnes.
