The Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration warns that snow and slippery roads above 200-300m are expected from late evening until morning from Skagafjörður in North-West Iceland to Reyðarfjörður in East Iceland.
As law dictates, all cars have had spiked winter tires removed so there are few cars are equipped to drive on icy roads. Drivers are advised to take care and check weather- and road conditions before heading off in these parts of Iceland.
