Record number of cruise ships to Reykjavik this summer

This summer marks a record for the number of cruise ships expected to dock at Reykjavik harbour, a total of 155. This was reported by travel website túristi.is. 

Cruise ships will start coming to the city mid-May with the first being the Celebrity Eclipse docking at Sundahöfn industrial harbour and carryign almost 3000 passengers. 

Last year, 113 cruise ships docked at Reykjavik carrying 99 thousand passengers but this year 129 thousand passengers are expected. The greatest amount of cruise ship passengers are from the US with Germans coming second.
