The area of low depression hitting Iceland will peak at noon today. The weather is very windy right now and windspeeds will continue to increase until noon.
The weather in North Iceland will peak between 11 - 14.
Conditions on Reykjanesbraut, the road between the international airport and Reykjavik has particularly hazardous driving conditions with winds that reach up to 35 m/s straight across the road. Police advise drivers to stay put and only attempt the journey until after noon.
