Icelandair opens route to Aberdeen
Iceland’s national carrier Icelandair has decided to add Aberdeen, UK, to its list of destinations.
Aberdeen is located in north-east Scotland and is the country’s third largest city after Glasgow and Edinburgh. Icelandair plans to begin services in March 2016 with four weekly return flights.
The Aberdeen flights will be operated by regional airline Air Iceland, using 72-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft out of Keflavík International Airport.
Aberdeen is Icelandair’s sixth British destination and its 26th in Europe. Passengers from Aberdeen will enjoy the same onward connection possibilities for transatlantic travel as passengers on other routes.
