German bassist Eva Kruse is the featured artists at the next concert on Freyjujazz in The National Gallery of Iceland. The concert is tomorrow, 18 April at 12:15-12:45. Admission is 1500 ISK and no charge for children.

Kruse was recently nominated for the Germany’s prestigeious ECCO jazz award for her album "On the Mo". She won that same award in 2014 for her album "In the Water". Eva has released 5 CDs under her own name and won two Grammy awards in Germany. Eva teams up with Icelandic pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs for the concert.

Freyjujazz is a concert series focused on female musicians. The aim is to create a platform to make women more visible in rhythmic music. To create role models for other female musicians and open a dialogue between women and men of the field.

The concerts all take place in the National Gallery of Iceland. It’s a beautiful museum in Reykjavik centre and there is a lovely little café there, perfect to grab lunch before or after the concert.
