The heaviest band in Iceland, Muck, are playing a concert tonight in Reykjavik. Muck, whose music can only be described as hardcore, have received great acclaim since the release of their debut album in 2012 and their concerts are hailed as somewhat legendary.  We got hold of lead guitarist Indriði Arnar Ingólfsson and put him through the Third Degree, where he reveals bizarre concert experiences and how his addiction to Seinfeld keeps him awake at night.

Where and when can we see Muck playing next?

We are playing tonight with our friend Kría Brekkan at Húrra, you should come, It's going to be great! I like it a lot when we play with her, there's a good dynamic.

What‘s the most bizarre thing that has ever occurred at a Muck gig?

Getting covered in plaster with a bunch of people after this nice old man stopped the show with a single clap. It was part of an art performance.  The plaster cast made me so dehydrated that i woke up in the night afterwards from a sauna involved nightmare and drank two liters of milk without stopping to breathe.

Your most treasured possession?

My limbs and my guitar.

What‘s your idea of a perfect meal?

Unexpected and simple.

Who would you invite to the meal, of anyone living or dead?

Tove Jansson and Lemmy Kilmister.

What is your favourite place in Iceland?

The middle of nowhere and downtown Reykjavík.

Artist that you look most up to?

The ones that pop into mind are Danill Kharms, Charlie Chaplin and Melt-Banana, but it's a hard question, by tomorrow I may have already changed my mind.

What‘s the music that has most influenced your life?

The energy and outlet of many hardcore and punk bands. Then getting Ableton Live and starting to geek out a lot to electronic music and diving more into production ideas of things. And then there was a period where is was listening a lot to african guitar stuff and trying to imitate that sort of playing. And then all the stuff that i just like for endless reasons.

What are you listening to right now?

I'm listening to Babyfather. Jumping between tracks on YouTube.

Favourite item of clothing?

My Stavanger tourist type shirt i got when I was a 10-year-old, I thought it was some sort of cool skate company. And brand new, crisp jeans.

What‘s your least favourite trait of Icelanders?

They pick governments like total idiots.

What‘s the best thing about living in Iceland?

It's pretty safe.

What keeps you awake at night?

It's either fun that keeps me up or my recent addiction to Seinfeld. Every now and then I wake up early and have an early start. When that happens I feel like a million bucks. My roomie is going to wake me up early and drag me out to go swimming tomorrow morning. Boy, will I be proud. Come to the show and ask me how it went.

If you could move anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would that be?

I wan't to go where the sun is intensely hot and the ocean clear and warm, but please bring my friends.

Muck play with Kría Brekkan at Húrra in Reykjavik tonight, Wednesday, starting at 8 pm.
