Winter festival just around the corner

Those long winter days of darkness are set to be illuminated magnificently at the next Reykjavík Winter Lights Festival which takes place February 4th - 7th.
The main objective of the festival is to illuminate the dramatic darkness of winter with a collection of sparkling events, which both celebrate and emphasize the beauty of the city.
To accentuate further the extraordinary contrasts of light presented during winter, several art and light installations will be exhibited including a new light show on the facade of Harpa concert hall and conference centre.
Among the wide variety of events are a Star Wars showcase, a snowboarding spectacle at downtown Arnarhóll, a star cave and a treasurehunt.
