Became a star by crushing a man's head on-screen
Even Brutes Can Learn to Cry is the title of a detailed article in The New York Times about Iceland's current most famous strongman, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson. Björnsson rose to stardom as "The Mountain" in the Game of Thrones series where he famously crushed a man's head in an epic duel.
Björnsson recently auditioned for the part of a villain in the latest James Bond movie but unfortunately didn't get the part, but the role would have conflicted wit next year’s World’s Strongest Man competition, a competition in which he finished second last year.
