Protest against police lack of action in rape case

A protest has been organised against what is called "A lack of police action when it comes to sexual offences," and takes place at 5 pm today outside the police headquarters at 5 pm. 

The protest comes in light of today's news about two charges of violent rape involving two suspects who were released 24 hours later. 

At least one of the men left Iceland this morning, and tweeted about drinking beer at the airport. 

The organisers of the event, which can be seen here on Facebook, also wish to show their support for rape victims.
