Wizz Air announces new service to Budapest
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has opened ticket sales for its new planned service connecting Iceland with the the Hungarian capital Budapest.
According to Icelandic tourism and travel news website turisti.is (link in Icelandic), the cheapest one-way fare is €79.99 (approx. ISK 11,000), plus charges for checked-in hold luggage.
The maiden service will take place on 27 March, with the route operated twice a week all year round.
Wizz Air already operates flights to Iceland from the Polish city of Gdansk and shortly also from the capital Warsaw.
