Special guest appearances at much anticipated Bang Gang concert

Bang Gang's release concert takes place in the Gamla Bíó concert venue in central Reykjavik on October 1st. This is Bang Gang's music  first concert in several years and special guests include JB Dunckel from French pop duo Air and Ladytron's Daniel Hunt.

The new Bang Gang album "The Wolves are Whispering," Barði Jóhannsson's first Bang Gang album for seven years, has received rave reviews in magazines such as Q, Der Spiegel, Vogue, Huffington Post, Vive, Clash, Rolling Stone and Interview. 

Speaking to Iceland Monitor, Jóhannsson explains that both Dunckel and Hunt are his friends and collaborators. "JB and I form the duo Starwalker, and Danny (Hunt) co-wrote the score for Would You Rather with me. They'll be performing two songs each at Gamla Bíó."

The concert also features special guest performers from Iceland, newly formed group "Gangly" which is comprised of Sindri Már Sigfússon from Sin Fang, Jófríður Ákadóttir of Samaris and Úlfur Alexander from Oyama. Between performances, UK band Is Tropical will be spinning records.
