Three avalanches fell yesterday

21 Jan Three medium-sized floods fell in Neskaupstaður last night but did not threaten settlements. The weather is now good in Neskaupstaður and the evacuation in East Iceland is expected to be lifted soon after noon.

Icelandair and Southwest Airlines Announce Partnership

18 Jan Icelandair and Southwest Airlines have officially signed a partnership agreement, marking Icelandair as Southwest’s first-ever partner airline. Tourists rescued from car roofs

15 Jan Last night, at around 4 a.m., rescue teams in Borgarfjörður were called out due to reports of tourists in trouble at Kattarhryggur, on their way up to Holtavörðuheiði.
