A presidential election will take place in Iceland on Saturday, June 27, mbl.is reports. The head election supervision committee has confirmed the candidacy of two men. They are the incumbent Guðni Th. Jóhannesson and Guðmundur Franklín Jónsson.
The deadline to file to run for president was last Friday.
