Unions in Iceland prepare for strike action
Hotel workers in Iceland may go on strike on March 8th if negotiations are not successful.
If the strike happens, it will be for one day and applies to Efling members who work in housekeeping, laundry and cleaning. This means that if an agreement between the unions and the SA Confederation of Icelandic Enterprises has not been reached by that time, there will be a strike between 10 am and 11.59 pm.
Wage negotiations between the union and SA will continue under mediation as negotiations broke down last week.
