Japan's withdrawal from the IWC not influential to Iceland

Japan's decision to withdraw from the International Whaling Commission has no influence on Iceland says director of Hvalur hf, Kristján Loftsson. Hvalur hf is the only whaling company in Iceland. 

Iceland's Minister of Fisheries Kristján Þór Júlíusson said the same thing interviewed by RÚV national broadcasting service last night. 

Loftsson added, "They should have done that a long time ago," and is happy about Japan's decision.
