Reykjavik: Rent goes up, real estate goes down
The index for rental prices in the capital area went up by 2.9 percent in August at the same time that real estate prices went down by 0.1 percent according to new figures published by the National Registry. This is the biggest difference betwen months since measurements began.
The annual rise in rental prices is now 8.8 percent having been 8.3 last month.
