Iceland PM to visit Icelandic settlements in Canada and US

Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir and her husband Gunnar Sigvaldason will be visiting Icelandic settlements in Canada and the US between August 2 and August 7.

The couple will be guests of honour at Icelandic festivals in Gimli in Manitoba and Mountain in North Dakota and will be participating in festivities. 

They will also attend several cultural events and visit places connected to the Icelandic settlers. 

The Prime Minister will be meeting with Brian Pallister, Prime Minister of Manitoba, Rochelle Squires, Minister of Sustainable Development in Manitoba Status of Women for the Province of Manitoba and Janice C. Filmon, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba.
