Iceland President sends congratulations to Trump

Guðni Th.Jóhannesson, President of Iceland, has sent letter of congratulations to Donald Trump for winning the US Presidential elections on behalf of the Icelandic nation.
In his letter, Jóhannesson said that Iceland and the US shared many values including the belief in freedom of speech,gender equality, and equal rights for all citizens whatever their colour or religion.
President Jóhannesson also mentioned the long history of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and a long common history that went back to the ime that Icelandic Vikings found North America over one thousand years ago.
