Strike legislation confirmed by High Court
The Icelandic High Court has confirmed the ruling of the Reykjavik District Court where they rejected the claims of The Icelandic Association of Academics (BHM) that legislation to end strike action was illegal.
BHM took the Icelandic state to court due to the legislation passed on June 13th in which Parliament crushed strike action and then appealed the ruling of the Reykjavik District Court to the High Court. This means that the legislation stands without any changes made.
