Members of the Icelandic Nurse's Association rejected a wage contract today with 1677 votes against 219. The wage agreement was finally made on June 23rd between representatives of the association and the state negotiator after almost thirteen hours of negotiations.  Nurses voted on the agreement today.

An announcement from  the Icelandic Nurse's Association today says that the results of the vote show that the Government will have to respond to their fair demands that the minimum wage for nurses should be equal to that of other University educated unions and that unequal gender pay gap must be reduced.
