Iceland “model for gender equity”

In a keynote speech at today’s WE 2015 event taking place in Reykjavik, Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has praised the exemplary role played by Iceland in gender-equality issues.

WE 2015 is billed as “a global dialogue for change catalysts, men and women who are interested in engaging in an honest conversation about best practices and solutions towards closing the gender gap”, and began at 1pm today at Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert and Conference Hall.
