"Where are your promises now? "
The Government's decision to scrap the EU bid was protested by over seven thousand people in Austurvöllur today. At the protest, soundbytes from both PM Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson and Finance Minister Bjarni Benediktsson making promises during the election that a national vote would take place on the matter, were played. Where are your promises, asked speakers at the protest.
Another protest has been organised at 5 p.m on Monday.
