Six taken to hospital after accident on Jökuldalsheiði

Six people were transported to the hospital in Egilsstaðir following a traffic accident on Jökuldalsheiði around eight o’clock last night.

According to a statement from the East Iceland Police, one vehicle collided with another that had broken down on the roadside.

Conditions at the scene were overcast and dim. Six people were in the two cars — four in one and two in the other. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
