The Ministry for Foreign Affairs has issued a statement directed at Icelandic citizens currently in Poland.

The ministry says it is closely monitoring the situation following last night’s incident in which Russian drones entered Polish airspace.

It urges Icelandic nationals to follow local authorities’ instructions and stay informed through local media.

“While airports in the country remain open, travelers should expect possible delays to flights. Please contact the Ministry’s citizen service emergency number, +354 545-0112, if assistance is needed,” the statement reads.
