A low-pressure system east of Iceland left colder air in its wake overnight in the northeast and east, but conditions are changing.
Today, winds will shift southwesterly, bringing scattered showers and temperatures between 5 and 11°C. Winds are expected to increase in the northwest later today.
Looking ahead, significantly warmer air is approaching the country tomorrow. Southwesterly winds of 8–15 m/s will prevail, strongest in the north. The northeast and east will enjoy dry, clear weather with temperatures reaching up to 16°C. The trend of warm southerly winds is expected to continue, especially benefiting northeastern regions.
