Grindavík Town Council offices move back home

The Grindavík municipal offices will fully reopen at Víkurbraut 62 in Grindavík on Monday, March 10.

This is stated on the Grindavík municipal website, but a large part of the operations have been in the Customs House in Reykjavík since the evacuation of the town on November 10 last year, partly due to its proximity to the Grindavík Committee.

The Grindavík municipal council's protocol states:

"The Grindavík municipal council has decided that the municipality's municipal offices will move entirely from the Customs House back home to Grindavík. The municipal council considers these changes to be a good step in supporting development in Grindavík. The Grindavík community is strong and ambitious about the development of the municipality, we are aware of the situation but are optimistic about the future."
