Finally the Bláfjöll ski resort is open

For the first time in a long time, the Mt Bláfjöll ski area was open today.

"It's been a beautiful Tuesday and it's open from 2-9 pm," the ski area's Facebook post says.

It says that all lifts will be open except the King and a cross-country ski trail will be laid for cross-country skiers.

"It's strange to say that February is long, but in our minds this has been the longest February in the world. But now the wind has finally died down, the frost has arrived and we look forward to seeing you," the post continues.
