Miklabraut partially closed due to major collision

A multiple vehicle collision occurred on Miklubraut this evening. No one was injured, but photos from a witness show several cars that appear to have collided, including one that has gone off the road.

The passerby tells mbl.is that police arrived shortly at the scene and that no one was injured. He says that about five cars were involved in the collision.

The fire department's chief of staff says that no ambulances have been called out.

The road is closed between Grensásvegur  and Reykjanesbraut eastbound due to the traffic accident, according to information on umferdin.is.
