Strong winds are forecast today and tomorrow. Travelers are advised to check road conditions with the Icelandic Road Administration before setting off and to familiarize themselves with the weather and weather forecast.

"For the southwest of the country, there is a low and the boundary from it lies to the northeast. There are strong northeasterly winds and snowing in many places today, especially in the north and east of the country. After noon the precipitation will decrease, then northeasterly winds will be 18-23 m/s northwesterly in the country, but slower winds elsewhere," says a meteorologist at the Icelandic Meteorological Office in his reflections.

Tomorrow, a storm or gale can even be expected in the country's south.

"The boundary is moving little and fairly strong winds are still forecast tomorrow, even a storm or gale in the country's south. Sleet, rain, or snowfall in some areas. Temperatures will be around freezing and could climb above 5 degrees on the south coast at best.”

There is no forecast for severe weather in the capital area.
