There will be considerable changes this afternoon and evening when it gets quite cold. The Icelandic Road Administration's meteorologist warns that black ice may form on wet roads and be slippery.
It is getting colder
The weather is gradually getting colder today. It will be 10-18 m/s from the south, with rain, slower rain, snowfall, or sleet from the northwest and west, but little precipitation across the northeast.
The wind and snowfall will ease today. There will be occasional gales in the afternoon but it will start to snow in Southeast and East Iceland late tonight.
Tomorrow, variable winds of 3-10 m/s and occasional gales will occur, but snow will first fall in the east. The south and west will generally be dry. Frost will be 0 to 8 degrees. In the afternoon, increasing easterly winds will increase, and snow will begin to fall from the south and east until late in the evening.
