New Year's Eve swim in -22 degrees C

Radio host Kristín Sif Björgvinsdóttir went for a New Year's Eve swim in the Mývatn region in -22 degrees below zero Celcius.

A freezing cold snap had been forecast for the area, but people don't seem to be letting it stop them from having a cold cleanse to celebrate the coming of the new year.

A video of the New Year's swim can be seen in Björgvinsdóttir's post on Instagram where she posts: "Beauty, cold and good company to end the year!"
